I like to think I’m a pretty optimistic person, both personally and professionally. I truly love what I do and I get excited before every session. However, I have to admit that I was not so optimistic on the day of Brooke and Karl’s engagement session. I really didn’t think it would happen on the day it was scheduled. The radar had been looking ugly all day and a couple of hours before the shoot I double checked with Brooke to see if she wanted to reschedule. I might have even encouraged her to reschedule. I really thought it was going to rain.
I was right, but just barely. It did rain, but only slight drizzles here and there. We were able to finish the entire session (and even ran over the scheduled time). The slight rain cooled things off and the temperature was amazing for June in Alabama. Despite my less than optimistic outlook, we had a great time and got some amazing shots of this super sweet couple. I hope they had as much fun as I did, even though my dreams of stealing some shots of them dancing in a downpour never came true!
