There are so many lovely venues in North Alabama, and I have photographed plenty of them. I love the variety of venues, from arbors in flowery fields to rustic barns to modern reception halls. However, there is something special about photographing a wedding in a small town church.
Teri Beth and Michael chose to exchange vows in the beautiful First Baptist Church in Athens, AL. The fantastic stained glass windows and wooden beamed ceilings set me up for some great shots.
There were many special touches, but one stole my heart. Instead of sparklers or bubbles, the couple chose to leave to thrown rose petals. This was so special because Teri Beth's mother saved all of the flowers that her husband had given her throughout their marriage, and those dried petals are what the guests threw. Such a sweet and memorable touch from this thoughtful family.
Teri Beth and Michael, thank you for choosing us to capture your special day. We wish you all the happiness in the world.
